• The time is drawing nearer…

We are as prepared as we are going to be for Tyler to get here, so now it’s about trying to relax, and enjoy our last days as a family of 3. The weekend before last we ventured up to Greenbluff- a place I never miss a chance going to- and got our pumpkins. I also enjoyed some huckleberry ice cream, and we got some apple cider. YUM! It was a pretty rainy day so we didn’t hang around for too long, but I was worried that if we didn’t go then, we might not get the chance. It was a nice day though.
Also I have really been wanting to paint my stomach like a jack-o-lantern beings we are going to have a fall baby. This is something I wanted to do with Nicki, but we didn’t get to since her pumpkin came a week early! so we finally got some paint and here is the result!
Pretty cute huh? Here is another!
    Me with all my pumpkins!
This was pretty much my last project to do before the baby gets here.

It is amazing to me that I am 38 weeks pregnant. I will have a new baby boy as of this Friday and it is so surreal. I am so excited for Tyler’s arrival. And nervous too, of course! After watching my best friend in pain after having her c-section I am not quite as excited for that. I think I was hoping to forget the pain that occurs afterward until it actually happened. Though I still have ZERO interest in birthing this baby the “natural” way….. NO THANK YOU! I know it will be okay, and because I have been through it I am aware of the process but it’s still natural to have those concerns.
I really am just excited to get Tyler here, and have him home, and start our daily routine. Luckily I will have Travis home with me for the first 6 weeks, and it will be great for all of us!
So this Friday, if not sooner Tyler will be making his appearance. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

Zach is doing great in school and adjusting pretty well. They are working hard in science learning about airplanes, rockets, etc. Right now we are working on an airplane project that is of course due while I will be in the hospital! But Zach had to design an airplane, based on certain criteria, which we have built and now just need to write up the written part of the assignment. They will be flying their planes next week and Trav will hopefully video record it for me to see! He also is doing great as always in reading! Takes after his mama and grandma! And is looking forward to his Halloween party and trick or treating!

  • Another Dr. apt.

I had another Dr. apt today. Tyler has been pretty quiet the last two days so I bumped my appointment from tomorrow to today because I was stressing a little bit. Well of course as soon as I change it to today he starts doing all kinds of acrobatics in there. I did let them know though that he has been quiet so they wanted to have me monitored for a bit. After a half hour, a large cold glass of water, and hardly any movement they decided to do an ultrasound. His heart rate was good there just was next to no movement. And once again as soon as the ultrasound started, he had hiccups like nobody’s business, was turning in circles, kicking me in the ribs… He was letting his mama know he was just fine and did not need this lady pushing around on him! We got a pretty great face shot on the 4D pic though. And wouldn’t you know it, since I didn’t plan on getting an ultrasound I didn’t take the DVD to record, nor did Travis come to this appointment… But she did print a pic that is pretty great. (not quite as good as what I got to see though! I got to see his entire face) He looks like his cheeks are not as chubby as we saw before, and he looked a lot like Trav. (very handsome!) I was very relieved that my baby Tyler was moving so well, and is healthy. Two weeks from tomorrow (or less) we will be holding our precious baby in our arms!

I go back to the doc next week and will let everyone know how it goes!

  • We’re Moved!

Yep– We’re moved…. unpacked? that’s a whole other story! But we are moved from old house to new, and old house is cleaned and ready for it’s new tenants. As for new house, I am probably 1/2 way unpacked. Not too shabby for a pregnant lady… and not just any pregnant lady, but a pregnant lady who is going to have her baby in 26 days or less!
It’s so nice to have things out that have been packed up for a couple of years, since we just didn’t have the space in the other house. And of course I have tons of wall space for pictures, though Travis made me promise not to put any up without him. I guess he would like to have say in what pictures go on the wall… But we’ll see about that. 😉 Right now I am just trying to get things put in their homes and then I can decorate. Not that I really know how to decorate, but I am going to attempt. So wish me luck!
This morning I walked Zach to school as he rode his scooter. I am not a good judge of distance but it’s less than a mile to the school. I didn’t make it very far before I was getting a side ache and was having to take off my jacket because it was too warm. By the time I got back to the house I had beads of sweat on my forehead– and was exhausted. I think that I will be driving until after the baby is born. 🙂
For now I better get back to packing, but I am hoping to take some pics this afternoon and will get them posted soon!

  • Update!

I had another ultrasound today. Tyler is growing like a weed! He is approximately 5 lbs, 6 oz. I cannot believe how BIG he is getting. Especially since he has 1 month to go!
1 month from today is the big day– C-Section day. I am feeling good and I hope he holds on for that day!

Zachary is doing great. He started his new school year out at the new school and is making new friends, but for sure missing his old friends. Of course it will take a little getting used to and he will get it down soon, I’m sure!

Travis is doing good too, and excited for this baby to get here, and for his time off from work! It will be so nice to have him home with me for a few weeks while we are getting settled into the new house, and with the new baby.

The house is coming together well. I have finished painting Tyler’s room and will get pictures up as soon as I get it all put together! Zach loves his room because it is so big. Kinda like two rooms in one. He has his “bedroom” on one side, and a “playroom” on the other.
This weekend is the “big move”. I will try to get some more pictures up soon!

  • Dr. Appt. / house

So I had a Dr. appt yesterday and my Dr. was very happy with Tyler’s progress at the last ultra sound. He said that Tyler’s growth is perfect and right where it should be. But he does want to do another ultra sound to check it again so there is something more to compare it to. So next week we have another appt to check his growth. That way we’ve had another month and we are certain things are okay. I am really happy that I have made it this far and feel so good still. I am now 34 weeks and this is when I delivered Zachary. It has been such a concern that I would have the same problems this pregnancy, but my Dr. says he really thinks that if I were heading down the same path I would be showing some sort of symptoms by now, and he is comfortable with where I am.
So this news makes me a very happy girl!
Also I am now going to the Dr. weekly…… 36 days until D-day! So excited for this little guy to get here!

We have been getting the house ready to move in, and it has taken a lot of work! I know this is a new house, but with a dog that I can’t walk on a leash because she is stronger than me, I need to be able to open the door and let her out, so there were some projects that needed to be tackled first. We (when I say we, I mean Travis) built a retaining wall in the back, built stairs off our deck, a fence was put in, Hydro-seed is down and grass is coming up, the garage door opener is in and we put a ceiling fan in the living room. We have moved a few things over but still have a lot of moving to do and will be doing that in less than 2 weeks. I also have a nursery to decorate and started painting yesterday. Hoping to finish today. then I can start setting up the nursery!!
I am really excited to get moved- and ready to be settled in. Will try to get some pictures up soon!
