Summer's birth story
It's pretty short, sweet, and to the point. We checked into the hospital at 10:15 am on Monday, 9/17 just like we were supposed to. Within about 15 minutes they had taken Travis and I back to a room and the boys were with my parents in the waiting room. At 12:15 I was wheeled back to the OR, where I first got my spinal. I'm not going to lie, this one hurt. And I cried like a baby. (They were not having luck getting it put in, and yep, it was painful) After that they got me laid down on the table and once I was numbthey brought in Travis and started cutting.Pretty soon Travis tells me the head is out and I hear the Dr say, "those are some big cheeks" and another moment later I feel lots of pressure and Travis looks down at me and says the most amazing words, "It's a girl" Now, I would have been happy had he said It's a boy,but to know I now have the best of both worlds, boys and a girl, was truly amazing. Summer Lucille was born at 12:51 pmon September 17, 2012She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 21 inches long. First picture with our Summer girlMore pictures to come of my sweet sweet family :)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the birth of your lovely baby girl. Lucille is such a beautiful name.
ReplyDeleteAww, she's beautiful! I love the first moments with my babies. All 6 of mine were vaginal deliveries so I don't know what it's like to have a c-section but I just love getting to see my babies face to face and meeting them for the first time. I'm so happy for you. :)
