Philly Cheese steaks are a favorite in our house, especially for my husband and son. But I don't love the beef quite as much as I love chicken so when I found these I was really excited and they didn't disappoint!
And the recipe doesn't get any easier.
Chicken breast (3 boneless skinless)
1 Onion- chopped
2 Green Peppers- chopped
2 Tbsp butter
Steak seasoning (I used Weber Chicago Steak seasoning)
Cheese (I used provolone)
Hoagie rolls
Spray crock pot with cooking spray
Add the butter to bottom
then put in the onions and peppers then chicken.
I just added the seasoning to the top.
Cook for 5 hours on low. I shredded mine a little because I didn't want it to be big chunks, but I didn't want it shredded too small. Just shred it to your liking.
Butter your hoagie and broil until toasted, add chicken mixture and top with cheese and stick back under the broiler until cheese is melted. Enjoy!
You can also turn this into an easy freezer meal.
Just chop up your veggies and add them to a gallon size freezer bag. Add your chicken, seasoning and then lay flat to freeze. Easy Peasy!
