Pizza Rolls

Happy Friday everyone. I haven't been around much for Foodie Friday because my family came down with the stomach flu one week and a head cold the next. It was an awful couple of weeks, but luckily we are all feeling like ourselves again!

Today I am sharing a super yummy snack. You could make these home made Pizza Rolls for an afternoon snack, a party you are throwing, or to take as a dish when you are bringing food somewhere else. They are so good. I've been wanting to make my own for a while and after making them and seeing how quick and easy they were to make, I'll make them again for sure!

First, you are going to start with your ingredients. Lay out an egg roll wrapper in front of you. Add a spoon full of pizza sauce, a couple of pepperonis and a little bit of Mozzarella cheese to the middle of the egg roll wrapper.

As you wrap it up you want to make it nice and tight. I think it got easier to do the more I rolled. But start with folding up the bottom, and then fold the sides in and roll around to meet the top point. I just had a little cup of water to dip my finger in and dab on the tip of the remaining wrapper before sticking to the rest of the roll. That just seals it together.

Next, take a couple of cups of oil and heat it over medium-high heat. To test if it is ready, drip some drops of water and listen for them to sizzle. Then add your pizza rolls, two or three at a time for about 1-2 minutes on each side. They will cook quickly!

I had a plate with paper towels on it to put the pizza roll on as I took them out of the oil. This way they could drip off a little.

You could easily dip these in a marinara sauce, or whatever dipping sauce you prefer, but we just ate them with no sauce. And they were pretty amazing.

Ingredients:

  3. Let cool for just a few minutes! They were definitely better when they were freshly hot versus eating them after an hour or two.
