So one thing I cherish even more is the weekends. And this Delicious Monkey Bread is perfect for a weekend breakfast around the table. And your kids will love it. I love monkey bread but I will admit, this is super rich! Make sure you have a glass of milk to balance it out!
I love this cute little bundt pan to make smaller servings. And they're just plain cute right? So first you will cut up your dough and get them placed with the nuts in between. Of course you can always toss out the nuts if you don't care for them!
Then get your sauce ready and then pour over your dough.
Now you are ready to put these babies in the oven.
Who's hungry? Because it is time to eat this delicious monkey bread!
2 large cans of refrigerated flakey biscuits (16oz)
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cups of butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Add the butter, sugar and cinnamon in a small sauce pan on low.
- Grease Bundt pans with cooking spray.
- Quarter your biscuits. (I actually cut mine a little smaller since I was using the small bundt pans.)
- Set them into the bundt pan loosely. Make sure you spread the chopped nuts through out the dough as well. Be sure that you don't push these in tight. They will raise and overflow otherwise.
- Turn your heat up to medium and whisk until everything is dissolved.
- Pour the butter mixture over the dough, spreading evenly across.
- Set your pan on a cookie sheet to prevent it from spilling over and making a big sticky mess in the bottom of your oven!
- Bake for 35 minutes (only 25 if you are using smaller, individual pans like I did) Then let stand for a few minutes before removing from pans. Bread will be very hot!
Mine did get a little darker than I would have preferred.... but I didn't exactly pay attention to the time since I was using a smaller pan than directed... So if you are using the small bundt pans, make sure you adjust your time as directed above!
So have your kids gone back to school? What kinds of fun breakfasts do you like to make on the weekends?
