Especially because I don't think it matters whether I used wings for legs, if you are a spicy chicken wings lover, these will work for you!
I started with mixing the sauce and seasoning
Added in the chicken
And then mixed it around real good
Then I get my flour mixture together
Add the chicken into the flour mix and gave them a good shake. (With the bag tightly sealed, of course!)
More hot sauce in a bowl
and dip each wing into it
Add them to a baking sheet and bake!
- 20 chicken wings
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon hot sauce, divided
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Put salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon hot sauce, and vegetable oil in a gallon freezer bag, and shake to mix. Add the chicken wings and toss until well covered.
Place the flour, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder in second resealable plastic bag, and shake to mix. Pour the chicken wings from the first bag into the flour bag, seal, and toss until covered with the flour mixture.
Melt the butter in a medium bowl then whisk in the hot sauce. One at a time dip the wings into the sauce and place back on the baking sheet rack. Bake until the chicken is no longer pink in the center, about 1 hour. Turn the wings over after 30 minutes.
Another awesome game day food that I hope you enjoy!
