It's that time of year again where crock pot meals rule my house.
I love being able to put dinner together in the morning and not have to look back all day long- and this is one of the easiest dinners you can make. Because I had never made these Hawaiian Chicken Sandwiches before I wasn't really sure how they would be, considering the sweetness of the pineapple. But I promise that they don't disappoint!
Any meal that only contains 3 ingredients is already a win. Most likely I am going to have it on hand and I don't have to run to the store to grab ingredients that I am not familiar with. For this particular recipe you are only going to need Hawaiian BBQ sauce, crushed pineapple and chicken.
You toss it all into the crockpot and let it cook for 7 hours on low. (or 4 hours on high)
One thing about this dinner was that it had a little bit of a kick to it. These days spicy foods bother me more than they have ever before. But I don't have to worry about the heartburn thanks to Pepcid®.
I grabbed some from Walmart a while back and haven't had to look back since!
With Walmart's everyday low prices I can get everything I need to support digestive health relief. And with Thanksgiving right around the corner I don't have to worry so much about my food choices and the mixture of items on my plate!
Finish the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwiches off by using two forks and shredding the chicken and putting the mixture onto sliders buns and enjoy your easy, no work dinner!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Chicken breast
- 8 oz can crushed pineapple
- 1 bottle of Hawaiian BBQ sauce
- slider buns (or regular hamburger work too!)
- Add chicken, pineapple and bbq sauce into the crockpot and put on low for about 8 hours.
- Shred chicken
- Add to slider and enjoy!
